Foothills Trail & Associated Stops

In early November 2021, 4 friends and I went on our annual outdoors trip that this year was built around hiking the ~77 mi Foothills Trail in South Carolina near the border of Georgia. While the first 3 days of the trip had to be adjusted due to torrential rains in the area around Jacksonville, we encountered gorgeous weather and peak fall color on our FHT hike. My plan to complete the trail in 4 days was apparently a bit "aggressive" and 2 of our group bowed out due to injury while the rest of us suffered through and finished the trail with only a few blisters and some great new trail names for our friends.
